Director’s note
Filmed across the Polish–Ukrainian borderlands, the film follows six elderly sisters returning to places they knew as children – places marked by war, displacement and the Volhynia massacre.
Their memories return in fragments – a road, a house, a field, a story remembered differently by each sister. Childhood experiences of violence now sit somewhere between testimony and dream.
