A surreal short about the difficulty of making, where creation becomes inseparable from failure and imperfection. The film treats the work itself almost like a child, folding feminist imagery, staged surrealism and documentary fragments into a story about what it costs to bring something into being.
Its limitations become part of the form. Gaps, failed attempts and lack of resources are absorbed into the film’s language. Odd Stick handled cinematography and editing, shaping that instability into a deliberate, image-led structure.
